What are Status Codes 

And why are thy Important?

We have a lot of catteries Now that say thy have 

Highlander kittens and Thy do But The status codes are low 

A1Ps to A2Ps = $300.00 to $400.00 kitten

You can go out back in your ally and find you a cat tell TICA 

you want to use it in your breeding program 

have it registratird 

as a domestic and it's code would be 01P. 

Most breeders go to a Highland Lynx catteries 

for new blood lines and registrar it as a domestic. 

This is the right way to do this.  

But sadly not all do. 

We know that some use the Bengal the Chelsea and the Abyssinian in there breeding. 

This is a N (Non Permissible ) 

This is a 1/2 breed to us and not a true Highlander.  

N = $50.00 to $100.00 kitten.

So we go from the Ns, 1. 2. 3. then to the Ps, 01 02 03 to the Ts, 01 02 03 

to SB Stud Book. It takes 10 Generation's to get to SB.

01Ts = $600.00 / 02Ts = $ 700.00 /03Ts = $ 900.00 

 SBTs = $900.00 - $1000.00

Most breeders don't tell you the status codes of the kittens.

Blood Lines, Pedigree and just how true to the 

breed your kitten is..

If the Highlanders don't advance in the breed class. 

The only Highlander's that can be shown at the 

cat show is a SB or HHP.
